One Tank Away is a growing collection of inspiration, perspiration, guidance, articles, blogs, advice, photographs, podcasts and what-not to get you off the couch and into the real world. It’s based on the premise that everywhere is one tank away from somewhere. Your guide is award-winning travel, sports and outdoor writer Marty Basch. That’s me. I live on a dirt road somewhere between a lake and a river where all these New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine trips take shape. Some of these travels are taken from the treasure vault while others are farm fresh. Have fun searching and clicking around here, especially in those archives.  You never know where it will lead (sometimes beyond northern New England). When you’re done, hit the road.
